[edit] Maestro Ciullini

Little is known of Ciullini at present, save that he was a fencing master at Maestro Ferdinando Masiello's fencing school in Florence.[1]

[edit] Ciullini's System

The system of fencing presented in Wright's "The Broadsword" as that of Masiello and Ciullini is largely Radaellian, but with some significant differences, such as a slightly low and very extended parry of fifth[2], which intercepts the opponent's blade, according to the illustration, forte to forte, rather than the more common defender's forte to attacker's debole.

[edit] Notable Students

Col. Francis Vere Wright, author of "The Broadsword".
