Alessandro Senese
From Italian Swordplay Wiki
Alessandro Senese was, according to his book, a gentleman from Bologna.
He published in 1660, Il Vero Maneggio di Spada, a 100 page book dealing with single rapier. A notable feature of this book is that he utilizes the straight-front-leg lunge seen in other Baroque rapier books, but does so at single rapier, where the other books tend only to use that lunge with rapier and a companion weapon.
An original copy of Senese's book is available for reading at the Spencer Research Library at the University of Kansas on the Lawrence, KS campus.
